My Bible

I wander through the shadowy land
And the darkness surrounds me
But my Father has set a light in my hand
To light a pathway for my steps

(chor) Great light, beauteous light
Clearly lighting my wandering steps
You guide me safely to the heavenly home
That light will not fail me

That light is God's unfailing Word
Which brightness streams afar
Though storms may rage upon the earth
Its light is never dimmed

Of old it shined on pilgrims' path
And never brought them shame
Against the foe, I always rely
It ever leads me aright

So, blest I wander heavenward
Its light upon my path
My praise to God I gladly sing
